Mental Health - Riders Minds

Looking after your own mental health and well-being is often down the list of our priorities. It is sometimes easier to pretend that you are ‘fine’ even when you are feeling out of sorts.

Currently there are 19 million riders in the UK. Given 1 in 4 people in UK will experience a mental health issue each year in the UK, a large proportion of riders at some point will experience a mental health problem, whether directly or indirectly.

Admitting to yourself that you are not ‘okay’ can be hard, but it is important to know that you are not alone and support is available.

Riders Minds is an online bespoke resource dedicated to supporting the mental health and well-being of all in the equestrian community. In addition to the online support have access to the free Riders Minds helpline which is available 24 hours a day.

All calls are confidential and Showing Council members have access to free support groups.
