British Show Horse Association (BSHA)
(Full Member)
The British Show Horse Association is dedicated to promoting the showing, and breeding, of a variety of horses; Hacks, Cobs, Riding Horses, Hunters, and both Working Show Horses and Working Hunters. There are BSHA affiliated classes held throughout the country, including sections for Open Horses, Novice Horse, Amateur Riders, Young Riders, and In-Hand Horses.
The BSHA members have the opportunity to qualify for three prestigious finals; The Royal International Horse Show, The Horse of the Year Show, and The London International Horse Show. There are opportunities and classes for all levels and abilities to enjoy. Furthermore, the Association hosts its own National Championship Show in September, at Addington Equestrian Centre. It is held over three days, has a full range of classes and evening performances, and there is also the chance to enter the final HOYS Qualifiers of the show season!
The Association has numerous rosette awards for Novice Horses, Under 25’s, Amateur Champion, Open Champion, and Amateur Awards, which are handed out in the classes during the season. These awards aim to actively encourage amateurs and young riders to participate in the classes. The Association also hosts different events throughout the show season, these include a Spring Show, Judges Assessment Day, Judges’ Conference, and Conformation Training Workshops.
There is an active website and social media presence online so please take a look.
