Northern Counties Ponies Association (NCPA) (Full Member)

The Association is a ridden and in hand showing society with charitable status, based on its training and education ethos. The association was founded in 1964 and celebrated its Golden Anniversary in 2014. It currently consists of 9 branches: Cheshire, Cumbria, Derbyshire, Lancashire, Leicestershire & Rutland, Maelor & Shropshire, Notts & Lincs, Staffordshire & Yorkshire.

Membership fees are currently £35 for single adult membership and £45 for family membership. Life membership is also available. Animal registration is £35 and is for the life of the pony not an annual payment and gives members extra classes to enter, extra rosettes & a FREE points scheme. Members receive regular newsletters & schedules from both the main, and their local branch. Main branch and the local branches hold a number of shows and events throughout the year and every member is entitled to reduced entry fees at all the shows, most of which also hold qualifiers for other societies. The association holds a championship show at the end of the summer season – The Northern Counties Pony of the Year Show.

A yearbook is printed at the beginning of each year and available free of charge to all full members on the database at the end of December in the previous year. Membership and animal registration can be done online. For further information please look on the website.
